I apologize for the lack of appropriate formatting. Here is the opening scene or cinematic of Revelations.

EXT. Hell-Beach

A SPIRIT materializes, vibrating at an eye-straining velocity. Behind the spirit, an ocean of fire surges and heaves. In the distance, vast ramps and spirals plunge skyward and disappear into ash-choked clouds.

The vibration slows, revealing a human male form. He turns and faces a DEMONIC HOST. An UGLY-ASS demon leers at Roger.

ugly-ass

Roger, you smell like a priest.

Roger spots a priest collar lying on the blistering sand.

roger

Is that what I was? Was that my name?

A SENSUAL demon whispers--

sensual

Oh no, you're no god licking fool. You're a killer, you'll see.

Roger shoots a glance over his shoulder and notices a pair of thin blades.

UGLY-ASS

Take the angel stickers or the collar. Just make it quick, I need to get back to suffering.

Once the player chooses, the game begins.

Changes and libations

Well, today I saw Quantum of Solace and liked it but would have been totally lost if I hadn't seen Casino Royale. With movies in mind, I amended my favorites list and removed all the adaptations; original film only.

Stay tuned, design part 2 is coming.

Self taught design part 1

TITLE: Justice

TAGLINE: "Justice will arrive in nine days. The question is, will it find you or someone else?"

GENRE: Fantasy FPS

CONCEPT: The player-character is one of the Sene' Cil, an elite group of bodyguards who primarily serve higher levels of royalty. They are feared for both their martial prowess and arcane skills. The saying goes "There are greater wizards and fighters but only the Sene' Cil are bred for both. For centuries, they have never lost a client to assassination or murder. Until now. To make matters worse, you are held responsible.

CATEGORY: Justice is an faster than usual FPS. Currently, the mode is single player only but the design could be adjusted to accomodate co-op multiplayer on consoles or network play for PC's.

PLATFORMS: Xbox 360/PC

LICENSE:Based on the novel, Justice, written by me. This also has strong graphic novel potential.

TECHNOLOGY:TBD

TARGET AUDIENCE: Gamers who love fantasy and a fast pace will find this title irresistible.

KEY SELLING POINTS: No leveling/skill increases/three classes of magic/eight schools of magic/proprietary, spell infused weapons/a wide range of NPC's to interact with, from the uber-powerful and mysterious Arisen to the feared collective known as the Voice/recruit allies to assist you.

MARKETING SUMMARY: Players can adopt a strategic style or a power style. Either way, there are mysteries to solve and the story becomes less straightforward as the player and narrative progresses. In a nutshell, the storyline takes a worse for wear cliche, the damsel in distress, and turns it on its head.
